Sometimes, re-imagining what to carry forward requires dropping it all for a while, allowing overworked muscles rest, giving others space to stretch and strengthen.

With nothing on our shoulders we are free to reach for heavier or more complicated ideas. Free to let our senses sense and to listen to what they want to see, hear and feel.

The PlumPod’s first pop-up show aims to examine these unrepresentative expressions, celebrating works outside of artist’s personal norms. We are here to give space for those growing muscles, to encourage lines drawn without confidence and colors chosen from the opposite side of the wheel.

UNREPRESENTATIVE will hang through the summer, with gallery visits available by appointment. Please sign up here for all upcoming gallery related events, including artists talks, children’s art classes and closing party.

Our Story

Writer and filmmaker by trade, art lover by nature, Amelia Martin is excited to present her first official pop up gallery show in North Carolina’s triangle.

Featuring artists Amelia has come to know through many years in the East Village of NYC and the mountains of North Carolina, she is excited to shine a light on them all, salon style, on the walls of a new space in Chapel Hill, NC.
